Submit a Blog Post

Below are a few ideas for original blog posts that will attract new OCaml users and engage existing ones in the converstaion.

  1. Share your OCaml projects. Have you built something amazing with OCaml? Whether it's a web application, a library, a compiler, or any other innovative project, we encourage you to write a blog post describing your journey. Share your challenges, triumphs, and the lessons you've learned along the way. Your project may inspire others and provide valuable insights into OCaml development.

  2. Highlight why you chose OCaml. If you have chosen OCaml as your programming language of choice for a particular project, we want to hear your story! Share the reasons behind your decision, the benefits you've experienced, and the unique features of OCaml that made it the perfect fit for your needs. Your personal experiences can help others understand the power and versatility of OCaml.

Submit a Job Opening or Book Recommendation

Post OCaml job openings. Are you looking to hire OCaml developers or seeking OCaml-related job opportunities? Have you come across a company looking for OCaml programmers? OCaml.org is an ideal platform to connect with talented individuals and organisations within the OCaml community. Share job openings, internships, or freelance projects, and help expand the reach of OCaml in the industry.

Recommend OCaml books and learning resources. Do you have a favorite OCaml book, tutorial, or learning resource that has helped you in your journey? Perhaps you have a favorite OCaml-featured blog or social network. Share it with the community! OCaml.org is an excellent place to recommend insightful books, online courses, videos, blogs, or any other materials that can empower fellow OCaml enthusiasts.

Participate in OCaml's Discord Channel

There is now a channel #ocaml.org on the OCaml Discord server! If you're not yet active on Discord, please follow this invitation link to join the OCaml Discord server first.

The channel's purpose is to discuss ideas, proposals, feature requests, and bugs related to OCaml.org. There's already been some great discussions and suggestions in Discord! It's perfect as an informal way to contribute to OCaml.org, and it's a great place to get in contact as well!

Attend Community Meetings

The public OCaml.org community meetings will be organised based on your feedback and interest. The agenda for each meeting is set in advance, but will likely be different each time.

  • 16 Oct 2023, 18:00 – 19:00 CEST

Topics may include:

  • Proposals you want to champion
  • Q&A sessions about the project
  • Guidance on contributing

But we're not limiting topics to just these. Many more topics relevant to OCaml.org and how to best make use of it for the benefit of the OCaml community can also be discussed. If you'd like to add a topic/issue to the discussion for a specific meeting, please contact Sabine on OCaml Discuss or the OCaml.org Discord channel.
